    The basics

You incorporate with Companies House, usually online, for a small fee. You will need a company name, a registered address, at least one director and details of shareholders.

    What you will need

    • A unique company name.
    • A UK registered office address.
    • At least one director aged 16+.
    • Details of shares and shareholders.
    • A SIC code describing what you do.

    After you are registered

Open a business account, register for Corporation Tax, and keep your filings up to date — annual accounts and a confirmation statement.
